This page explains, in plain terms, what RaphaAtlas does and does not collect when you visit. The short version: we do not run analytics, we do not set cookies, we do not ask you to create an account, and the numbers you type into our calculators never leave your device. The longer version below explains the few places where data does move, and who receives it.
What we collect directly: nothing
RaphaAtlas sets no cookies of its own. We run no analytics package — there is no Google Analytics, no Plausible, no Fathom, no Matomo, no Meta pixel, and no advertising or session-recording script anywhere on this site. We store nothing in your browser’s local storage or session storage. We do not operate user accounts, mailing lists, or logins, so there is no profile attached to you and nothing for us to lose.
This is not a promise about the future so much as a description of the present, and it is verifiable: view the source of any page on this site and you will find no tracking code in it.
Calculators run entirely on your device
Every calculator on RaphaAtlas — macros, BAC, body type, conception — is JavaScript that executes in your own browser. Your age, weight, height, measurements, drink counts and dates are used by your device to produce a result on your screen and are then discarded when you close the page. They are never transmitted to us, never written to a database, and never logged, because there is no server-side component to receive them.
Why this matters here
Some of the inputs our tools accept — pregnancy dates, body measurements, alcohol consumption — are genuinely sensitive. The design decision to keep the arithmetic client-side is deliberate for exactly that reason. We would rather not hold this information than hold it carefully.
What our host records
This site is hosted on Vercel. Like any web host, Vercel’s infrastructure records standard technical request data — IP address, timestamp, the URL requested, user agent, and referring page — in order to serve pages, apply caching, and defend against abuse. We do not use these logs to build profiles of visitors, and we do not combine them with anything else. Vercel processes this data as our hosting provider under its own privacy terms.
Third parties that receive your IP address
A small number of assets on our pages are loaded from another company’s servers. Requesting a file from another server necessarily reveals your IP address and user agent to that server. There is currently one:
- Google Fonts (
fonts.googleapis.com,fonts.gstatic.com) — supplies the typefaces and icon set the site is set in.
Images on this site are served from our own domain, so viewing a page does not report your visit to any image host. This is not an analytics or advertising integration, and Google Fonts receives no information about what you entered into a calculator — only what any request for a font file reveals.
Affiliate links
Some pages contain affiliate links, including Amazon. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases at no additional cost to you. If you click such a link you leave our site, and the destination may set its own cookies and track the visit under its own privacy policy — that activity is theirs, not ours, and begins only if you choose to click. We receive no personal information about you from these programmes, only aggregate commission reporting. Affiliate arrangements never influence our clinical guidance; see our editorial policy for how we keep those separate.
Email you send us
If you email us — about a correction, a question, or anything else — we receive your email address and whatever you choose to write, and we keep that correspondence so we can act on it and refer back to it. We use it for that purpose only. We do not add correspondents to any marketing list, and we do not sell, rent, or share your address with anyone.
Children
RaphaAtlas is written for a general adult audience and is not directed at children under 13. Since we collect no personal information from anyone, we collect none from children either.
Your rights
Privacy law in several jurisdictions — including the UK and EU under the GDPR — gives you rights to access, correct, export, or delete personal data an organisation holds about you, and to object to its processing. We are glad to honour any such request. In practice, because we operate no analytics, no accounts, and no database, the honest answer to “what do you hold about me?” is almost always “nothing beyond any email you have sent us.” If you have written to us and would like that correspondence deleted, ask and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we later add analytics, a working contact form, a newsletter, or anything else that collects data, we will update this page to say so plainly and change the date at the top before that change goes live — not afterwards. We will not quietly broaden what we collect behind unchanged wording.
